Burgers go great with any side item, from macaroni and cheese to broccoli and cheese. If you’ve got a dinner party who loves handheld and burger bun ideas, then this is a great, quick recipe that doesn’t have the high cost of a full burger, yet gives you the same feeling. You can also get all the ingredients for relatively cheap with food stamps. This is also great for children and their tiny hands. You can always substitute your favorite meat with a slider, but this is how we make our turkey sliders, including some awesome honey Dijon mayonnaise to go with.

20 oz lean ground turkey

2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 tsp. basil, dried

1/2 tsp. oregano, dried

fresh ground black pepper

16 dinner roll slider rolls

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1 tbsp. honey Dijon mustard

The first step is to combine the ground turkey (or beef, whichever you choose) with all the parmesan cheese, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Create 16 small patties that are bun-shaped to fit your slider rolls. Place all the patties on a greased baking sheet, equally distanced from one another. Bake at 350 degree Fahrenheit for 8 to 10 minutes, or until you see that the patties are cooked through. You don’t want to cook these too long in case they dry out. Combine mayonnaise with honey Dijon mustard and stir until well blended. Serve up on rolls and top with the honey Dijon mayo to finish.
